WACAF AIR is working on the implementation of control protocols, through the use of medical diagnostic systems together with thecompany Canarifarm, to provide serological tests forantibodies COVID-19 to all employees and customers of the airline.

 

WACAF AIR plans to start operating its aircraft based in Gran Canaria from the month of July, and it wants to do so with the maximum guarantees, for which they are currently conducting tests on front-line workers and crews.

 

The rapid test has been approved under the public health emergency guide issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the American Air Authorities. The test determines if the antibodies produced to fight coronavirus infections are present, indicating that the individual has been exposed to the virus at some point.

The new control protocol is only part of the WACAF AIR COVID-FREE response plan. The company has also implemented the use of masks and gloves for crew members while interacting with passengers, as well as implementing quarantine and disinfection procedures for aircraft. The interiors of the aircraft will be treated with ClearCabin, a product that creates an antimicrobial barrier, the use of filters HEPA with an efficiency of 99% and meticulous pre-flight protocols to assess the potential exposure of passengers, with the sole objective of protecting them.

Aircraft Preparation and Sanitation 

 

The pre-flight risk assessment will help implement improvements in the provision of services to our clients. We will make available to our clients the possibility of making pre-flight evaluations; from a passenger health questionnaire and temperature controls to eventually the "immunity passport".

 

Wacaf Air conscientiously structures its aircraft sanitation processes in three phases;

 

  1. Ozonized Phase: According to the WHO, ozone is the most efficient disinfectant for all types of microorganisms. By using a state- of-the-art ozone generator , the sanitary control certification for the interior of the aircraft is acquired. According to the scientific biography, ozone is effective in eliminating bacteria, protozoa, nematodes, fungi, cell aggregates, spores, and coronaviruses. 
  2. Spraying Phase: Spraying teams apply a hospital grade disinfectant, registered by the Environmental Protection Agency, to the interior surface of the aircraft by applying an aerosol, nebulizer or sprayer. According to Canarifarm, the 100% biodegradable disinfectant is non-corrosive and safe for surfaces in contact with the passenger and aircraft avionics equipment.
  3. HEPA Filters: Replacement and maintenance of HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestors) air recirculation filters with the ability to capture viruses such as MERS (Coronavirus) with efficiency greater than 99.99%.


 

VIP Boarding Process

 

The boarding process for our clients is carried out with the comfort and flexibility offered by independent VIP access to the busy commercial terminals of airports, allowing us to offer greater security.

 

  1. Flight preparation: our ground crews and personnel, transport vehicles to the aircraft and waiting areas comply with exclusive disinfection and ozonation protocols for each client's operations.
  2. PPE Crews and Personnel: all our personnel are equipped with PPE and trained inprotocols ZERO CONTACT specially designed to preserve the health security of our clients.
  3. Aircraft Access Vehicle: The vehicles we use to transport our clients from the terminal to the aircraft are subjected toprocesses disinfection at the same level as our aircraft.
  4. Disinfectant Mat: present at the access to the aircraft we have anti-bacteria mats that substantially improve the hygienic environment of the aircraft.

VIP Flight Process

 

The boarding process of our clients is carried out with the comfort and flexibility offered by independent VIP access to the busy commercial terminals of airports, allowing us to offer greater security.

 

  1. In-flight service: our crews are at your disposal throughout the flight, being able to provide the hostess service or do without it, the choice is up to the client.
  2. PPE Kit: Each client will receive a complete kit with FFP2 and Surgical masks, gloves and hydroalcoholic gel for personal use in sterile conditions made to measure by Canarifarm.
  3. Catering on board: All the products that we put at your disposal in our catering are prepared according to the request of our clients in the initial phase, attending to their preferences, intolerances or allergens, and kept in sterile conditions to avoid contacts

Post Flight Service 

Your safety is important to us, so after each flight you make with us we will offer you a complete report of the evaluation carried out on the aircraft as a control and prevention of infection.
